Company D. 26th Tennessee Infantry was Founded in 2005 by Steve Coffey and David Honeycutt,to Honor their ancestors who
fought in the originial 26th Tennessee InfantryRegiment.Since that time our Family Organization has grown and in 2006 proudly
merged with Company E. 37th Virginia Infantry and a member company of the "Southern Guards Battalion". We regularly
participate in Living Histories and Reenactments in several states,always honoring our ancesors and the cause for which
they stood.
We strive to be period in our dress and our mannersims of the 1860's .We are proud of the many awards and accolades we
have recieved thru the years in reenacting. We proudly boast of being the first reenacting orgnization to ever be invited
to march in the Gatlinburg Tennessee 4th of July Parade with over 700,000 spectators, as well as hosting a reenactment
in that city .
We Host or have co hosted events in Jonesville,Virginia,Tazewell,Tennessee,
Gatlinburg,Tennessee as well as participated in events from Pennsylvania to Charleston South Carolina. We pride ourselves
of having the most valued members (Men,Women and Children), in reenacting today.They are all true Living Historians!
